I know it's not recommended but I have seen a video where a guy painted his harley pipes with some high heat primer and high heat paint...the paint was good for 2000 degrees..and there was a certain way to cure it on the any vehicle. ....just curious if anyone has tried it and if they had any luck with it...Don't have place close enough that can ceramic coat it so thought this might be a good idea

Have used various colors of Header paint and if prepped and applied following instructions on can it holds for a season or two. Black and silver work best with highest heat capability but the have used red with success too. Under 20$ to do.
Stove paint works well. The kind they use on wood burning stoves. Much better product than BBQ and more durable. Similar to header paint.

Stove paint works the best there are some metalic colors that look great. Painted my 97 700 pipes 14 years ago there not great looking but not bad for 14 years. Stove and Spa places have more to chose from in colors.
