Conditions along the Genoa Peak road and its spur (from Spooner Summit) have been poor for weeks. Persistently scarce snow below 8000. There are smashed trees across the road and lots of wind throw, branches, etc. No grooming, no tours, no traffic… but there are controlled burns (it even stinks up there!)
Snow conditions are sure to improve starting tonight but there will be even more wind throw and hazards across the road from this big storm in the offing. Patience required & maybe a chainsaw too. Good luck.
