Its gonna be a fun season coming up....hope I can get out on the mountain as much as in the past...but it aint lookin good right now...

Ragged

Same here. Considering I am going to be burning more expensive gas at close to double the rate, I am going to have to limit my riding a bit. This year is pretty lean, hopefully next will be better cause I need a newer chassis.

How's the turbo build coming Devil? Many of my friends have talked about the exact style that your are using over the years. Is this version really that affordable compared to an off the shelf sled turbo or do you run into a bunch of hidden costs? Keep us posted on your results once you get some time on it.

what no mention of X,,,,oh wait you guys were talking best rider not best looking dude.

I'm with Rags, way to many good riders on this thread....even him, I mean I did see that dude low mark JOP over that rock face in the HooDoos, that was a heck of a stunt for an old MI fart;)

Well off to have a Schmidt for dinner and then one for dessert:beer;

I ever tell you all about my pimp and ho days? I gotta assume someone is going to the after party next week. Anyways I went to the local players ball thrown by some boys from DC and little old white boy X ended up 3rd for best dressed. I'll give ya a pic tomorrow

On another topic drinkibg dinner and trying to post on a blackberry is kinda hard

there is a kid in Lewistank and a kid in McCall that probobly have some of the best sled controll I have been around. Thank God one of them rides a Poo...;)

You know you loved my cat when you rode it!!!!!!!!!!! Should we have a spokane area riders thread "sled off" hahahahahahaha hope to see ya this season.

Oh I wouldnt forget Heston either. That dude shows everyone whats up most of the time, in all riding styles.

Phil

Well the sled is up...and not exactly runnin. Replaced the bad base gasket, and come to find out the fuel pump isn't pumpin fuel  As soon as that's fixed, I think I'm ready to ride!!!

And as far as the best overall rider in the area...thats a pretty tough call to make. So many of the guys/gals on this forum can do some amazing stuff on a sled.

Just inspected a plane tonight up at Bonners that weighs about 300 lb empty, goes 115 mph, and gets about 42 mpg (4-stroke). Thing's a flying motorcycle!

Goes to show what you can do when you build something light. Some of custom sled shops should do a "light duty" (no jumping, etc.) version of a sled built SUPER light for carving in the trees. Though no doubt people would complain that it isn't strong enough when they want to treat it rough.

Its coming along. Its a lot of work, more than I thought it would be. Its one of those make a part, cut it apart and reweld because it doesn't fit right, then cut it apart again because you changed something, then scrap it an make a new one.

Its cheap for me because I am doing all my own R&D and fab work. I will have less than $500 in to the build. Thats not really repeatable though as I already had a lot of the parts needed and I am doing all my own work. I have a full fab shop with a mandrel tube bender and CNC machine shop at my disposal so that makes it real easy. I do most of the work on my lunch breaks.

I will probably run it about 9-10lbs of boost most the time. I might try to get a different wastegate so I can run down at 5 or so and run pump gas for when I am doing kid rides. Its set at 9 right now, that should be plenty of power to make me giggle.

Whit, yea I will be needing some fuel at some point. Don't want to get any until I am closer to getting this thing together.

Quick rant, who's the jackazz that goes on craigslist that looks for people to e-mail and argue with about what they are selling? I put a couple of items on their and some guy e-mails me just to tell me that I'm selling junk and he'll give me a fraction of what I'm asking. I didn't ask the guy to come at we with some lame azz offer, or accuse him of being un-educated. Sorry, you may now return to your browsing.
