Very nice cabin flatlander dave. That bear mount on the log is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Fits it nicely with the rest of the furnishings.

Is there another way around the now gone bridge for the snow season? I haven't been that way in summer for a few years and didn't really look last year with it still there.

Well I'm off to bust out out my concrete patio and get things ready for the deck. Did I mention I don't need a building permit since it's not attached to the house!!! My bud that's helping thinks I should attach it, but F that, then it has to be code and that means digging post holes. Now I just gotta find some good concrete footing pads.

flit, thanks for the welcome but......i'm a boilermaker. ha ha . they just took bridge out after july 4th. you can drive down creek (with an atv or utv)with bridge out, not sure how a groomer would get around. heading to rathdrum to pick up a tractor part this morning. Thanks dave

I can vouch for the cabin. It's very well placed as far a sledding access goes and only a stones throw away from the best night club around (The Northwoods) How many would the cabin sleep?

I hate concrete and I really hate rebar....but most of all I hate the schlocky contractor who built this house and did a chit job on back fill and fill under the pads!!!!!!! Been going at it for 1.5 hours and I have maybe a 12x3 foot area broken up. And it's to damn hot out for this crap

Man, I've got a hell of busy weekend coming up. Fly home tomorrow, show Sat, fly to Dallas Sun, Cowboys game Sun night. I better monitor my fluid intake so that I can make it through the whole weekend.

Well got most of the concrete out, now to start thinking on how to raise the level back up and slope it out. Would I be ok using broken up concrete as fill and then just black dirt to raise the level and slope?

Well depending on how much coverage you get over the concrete, you would be ok to follow that application. But if it isn;t much more i would just fill it all with good fill dirt.

The ski lift is near Black River Falls and the campground is between the two. I also forgot about the random "gentlemen's clubs" out in the middle of the country out here. I didn't realize how swingin' you midwesterners are.
