Splittin' wood the old fashioned way, ( NOT !! ) Takes a good woman too!! w/Pics

[Good to Go]

Had to restock the new shed last weekend. Finished stacking the stuff Sunday. I don't mind a little hard work, but I'm kinda partial to things with starter switches...

While I was setting up the conveyor and splitter, the saws needed a little touch up. Got good woman???!!

I'd pull the logs down off the stack, buck them and throw them next to the splitter. The small ones I'd hand throw, but anything that looked tiring got tossed with the bucket..

She'd split and load while I was bucking; when I got a good pile ready, I'd take over the splitting and she'd load the conveyor. Can get a pretty good rhythm going after a bit of practice...like 5 minutes lol

Conveyor makes easy loading of the truck. We got two loads that day. The bed is 16' x 8' x 4', and we heap it. Got dump??!!

Wood burning heat...their isn't anything better!!

LOL, yea, we use the excavator for stripping the roofs.

Conveyor is for dirt... I pull the wood off lots we clear.
