Man that hero snow can produce alot of fun and hate
good stuff. Id like to take a poke at some of them chutes
Yeah, but powder is more forgiving..."hero" snow has bigger consequenses. We actually had a conversation about that on Thursday. LOL
Butt_Crack...I sent the text...you failed to answer or inquire. LOL
Forget it Ragged. LOL
It's almost waterski season....(well, it has been for a few weeks, but we're overlapping this year. LOL)
Jerod was testing an "upgrade" to the pump gas system. It had the smaller "pump gas" turbo on it with a small innercooler. He had the turbo dialed up to 10lbs...and had 100% race gas in it. Had it set to 5 lbs at the truck and dialed it up on the hill.
I didn't operate the BD box. I let Jarod do that, as I'd never messed with one before...He only touched it twice all day. And it went from 5lbs boost 45° at 4500 feet at the truck to 80° at 7500 feet at 10lbs boost at the tops.
I loved it.
I've gotten plenty of PMs comparing that to my big bore (PSI 1155cc twin)...
Put it this way........I loved it. I wanted to keep it, but he wasn't done with it and won't sell it yet. LOL
I didn't ride it with pump gas and 5-6 lbs boost....
Left the truck on 5lbs with full race gas, and turned it up to 10 on the hill.
Fuel efficiency....Put it this way...coming down off the hill at some point I had 50.4 miles for the day ( I ended at about 55 miles)....and when I got back to the trailer I had just under 1/2 tank....The needle on the tank lid was sitting at about 11:00 on the dial. Not bad at all.
Boondockability.....primary engaged at about 4200-4400...and it went through the trees easier than Jerod could on his T-Nytro......he was having a hard time keeping up with me at times in the TIGHT booning.
No turbo set up is going to have the throttle response of the BIG bores. BUT it's not far off...It's as good as a stocker....and I know that my twin would eat it out of the hole...but on 10lbs boost, they feel very similar on the top end.
