SpeedWerz or DD Y Pipe Worth It

I am running a 2005 Kingcat with SLP Single Pipe, Boyseen Reeds, Mod Airbox and geared down, sled works awesome, thinking about doing a few things for next season, are these aftermarket Y pipes worth the money they claim 6 to 8 HP Gain MADDOGWFO

maddog - I wish I could be of more help, but I installed the Speedwerx Y pipe AND single pipe, along with a bunch of other stuff over the summer so I couldn't really tell you how the Y pipe only works. My set is ceramic coated. I've been happy with all the full setup for what it's worth. No fuel controller needed - at least at my elevations - 8 - 11k.

If you can get one for a good price then I'd definitely do it. Maybe even if you have to buy it new. Hopefully someone else can help you with how just the y pipe helped.

I set up a 04 900 with slp's porting and their single pipe, and dialed the jetting and clutching in. It ran strong until the stock y pipe broke. Instead of ordering another stock y, I put a D&D ypipe on and then it ran very very strong. Added 2 grams of weight and it pulled like a freight train! I think the ypipe made as much of a difference as the slp single did.
