Speedometer not working

Out for the first trip with my xm and the speedometer is not working and obviously isn't reading miles. Still says I have .4 miles. All other gauges seem to function normal and sled runs great. Any ideas?

The plastic ends on the drive shaft could be reversed. The end with the magnets should be in the chain case.

That could be the culprit... shouldn't hurt anything or mess anything up other than the miles by running it this way?

I just went through something similar last weekend where the mph and the tac were not working. I'm not saying it's not the magnet the chain case that is where I started looking, but I ended up pulling my cluster part and found that Two of the plug in pins connected to the board were loose and I resoldered them and it worked. Also just a FYI after I knew it worked I thought it be a good idea to put dielectric grease on it and then it did not work I clean the dielectric grease off and it worked fine.

Sensor is plugged in. The back plug in to the tack is good. Everything works except the speedometer and trip meters.

I have a similar problem with a slight twist on a '11 800 Etec.......I noticed the Trip "A" meter stopped working in the middle of a ride yesterday.....At the same time, the gas meter was reading only about 1/3 tank when it should have been showing about 2/3's......I switched over to my regular odometer (total miles) and it all was fine; and so was the fuel meter. Went back to Trip "A" and just stays at Zero.....Strange?

Hmm that is strange. Mine was human error, switched the caps on the driveshaft over and works great.
