When I bought my 06 Duramax , the place that put on my Superlift said that Truspeed didn't have a fix to recalibrate my speedo for the larger tires (315/70/17). That was over three years ago. Well after some recent speeding tickets, I called the dealer to see if they could hook something up to the OBD and recalibrate. They said that GM has the diesels " locked out" and it won't allow for it.

How are you guys getting by? Does someone have a fix or do you guys just have better luck than me?

you will have to get a tuner.

I would recommend EFI live.

PM me if you want some info on some very reputable tuners that use EFI live and can do anything you want them to for your truck, mileage, power, turbo brake...no name it they can proabably do it.

A good tuner like PPE, or a chip with a digital read out like edge. I ran edge and hated it its hard trucks, switched to PPE loved it, but its nothing compared to EFI Live. EFI live can be overwelming but there are lots of people who know how to use it well and are willing to help.

I throw my Garmin 530 on the dash- have it display current speed in mph.

I've used it my last three Dmaxes and it seems to work well in all of them.;):D

I have 37's on my 07 D-Max and I just use my Tom Tom to display speed. I have EFI Live, but when I put in a tire size larger than about a 35, it kinda freaks out the PCM and the ABS light comes on. So its just easier to use my Nav system. Plus I know about how much my speedo is off at diferent speeds, so I can survive if I dont have it. Also, buy a good Radar Detector to help prevent those unwanted tickets :D

Just installed a PPE Economy Xcelerator tuner on a friends Duramax. The tire size recalculator works well ( verified it with my GPS). Got a nice boost of HP and torque as well.
After a week of driving with it installed it looks like he's getting around a 3 mpg increase too.
