speed worxs head leaking anti-freeze

Might have an answer?

Had a speedwerx head on my 2001 800 Summit. Had 2 coolant leaks until I figured it out. The leak between the black head plate on the top of the head assembly and the thick plate into which the domes are inserted was coming from the joint where the ends of the spaghetti like rubber gasket material meet. The fix is to put a dap of clear silicon waterpump type gasket material at the joint after disassembling and cleaning the head. The second leak was around the heads of the head bolts. The fix is to put the same clear silicon mentioned earlier around the shank of the head bolts just under the head right before installation and then wipe the excess from around the heads after tightening. This fixed the leaks without any further problems. Hope this helps. Every time I think I have an easy answer however, I find I really didn't understand the problem. Best of luck.
