When is Chevy going to put the 6.2 in the 2500? I drove a 1500 with that engine and can't believe they don't offer it in a 2500?????

soon i hope, can not figure out why they didnt do that from jump....i may buy a 2500 if that was the case....But they do offer a 1500 with max tow that has differnt axle ratio/rear axle, disc brakes on the back, trailer brake integrated/ and a bunch more stuff...not a 2500 but still it works well. im trying to find a 4 place enclosed this year so i may upgrade to that package, we will see how the 5.3 likes the trailer...the 5.3 is a hell of a motor to so i may keep it who knows at this point...the 21mpg hwy unloaded is tough to give up!

My 09 5.3 Sierra pulls a 26' enclosed with 4 sleds no problem. That 5.3 is a champ!

Funny, I just picked up a new 2011 Silverado LT 1500 crew with the 6.2L on saturday. No pulling yet, but should interesting! Motor has torque that is forsure, and the 6 speed should help down low!

I will do that. I plan to run and get my trailer with three sleds in it soon. 20ft enclosed steel. So we will see soon!

i towed my 5000 pound boat the other day with a 6.2 just to see how it did and it really pulled well. I read a tow comparison on it vs all the other half tons, i think it was by motor trend and it came out on top. they were very impressed with it.
