spark plug wire issue??

First good ride in deep powder and one of my spark plug wires came off. Has anyone else been fighting this problem? Maybe a Recall that hasn't come out yet?

no havent had this problem, but I did notice that you have to press your caps down really effin hard to get them to "click"

Mine did that as well I noticed, now its leaking coolant..

i thought it was just me went out last sat.in deepest snow so far,cap on mag side fell off.reinstalled it,rode for a while longer then it happed again.put it on again ran fine the rest of the day.

Once you get your plug caps installed correctly, place a zip tie around the boot. This will pinch the boot onto the porcelain and keep the boot from coming off.

Is this everyones problem, or is the wire pulling out of the coil pack?

SLP makes a set of plug wires that will fix your issues.

The caps clip on REALLY tight. They will not fall off once they are on properly. However, you have to make sure that they are lined up right, and push hard to get them to snap on. Same thing puliing them off. You will pull and and pull, then bust your knuckles once it pips loose. Your dealer or the factory didn't get them on right... unless you had them off.

if it bugs you enough..run down to the high performance auto store and get a 40" MSD plug wire for a gm hei dist cap..cut it in half and install one for each original plug wire you remove from the stock coils...best plug wires made..and no more issues with caps or wires...

Been running the SLP/MSD kit with retainers since 2006 on my 900 RMK. Well worth the money and they don't pop off. Precut and ready to install.
