southern bighorns

Hi, just looking for conditions of southern bighorns only, snow and trail cond. Thank you

AWESOME. Trails were perfect, and off trail was about as good as it gets. It must have gotten slightly above freezing because there was about 1/2" of crust on top of pretty much bottom less powder. It didnt take much of anything to break through the crust. In many areas there wasn't any crust at all and it was just plain awesome riding. Over the hood snow, and not many people have been out tearing it up. Great base under most of it too. Super good in the trees. Some of the best riding I have ever had... but I have only been to the mtns like 8 times. Best snow we found was 0-10 miles north of Deerhaven. This was last weekend, depending on the weather conditions could be totally different now.

Is there any place to stay on the hill in the southern big horns? I have always went to the north end.

Rumor is 8-10in of powder on top of a base of about 5 ft. LOL great till ya break through and find the famous Bighorn sugar underneath... You will find the best snow a few miles North of deerhaven to the N, and NE Have a Blast snow forcasted all this week!!!!!! Winters not over Boys the best is yet to come this spring!

Well im not sure where everyone one else is riding but i went up today and the snow is hard as a f'ing rock. We rode down powder river then up to east ten sleep lake. Hard everywhere we went. Not sure about behind deer have but a guy in our group went to battle park last weekend and reported the same thing so i dont think its very good anywhere. Not sure if its better somewhere else but i think its hard everywhere. Im not gonna ride again till we get a good snow.

LOL ask around Bud is a wealth of info at the lodge the locals report to him... But keep a few hidey holes to themselves. LOL
If a guy by the name of Jeffy happens to be there he is a good one to ride with also.... Just hes riding a phazer right now LOL not an ordinary phazer though....

South Big Horns

Kids were up yesterday and found an inch of new snow on the flat. The snow is mainly spring like now. We had 3" of fresh last week, not the best.

Went up Yesterday and there was prolly 1 to 2 inches of fresh, the meadows are pretty tracked and crusty, but in the trees it is still pretty deep with a base!!
