sorry i haven't heard a good answer yet, good 07 m1000 rear suspension setup

all i know is its not right its as good as it will get stock but its not right! don't have the huge bucks right now for new suspension and from what i've been told the 09 is not that much better ie everyone i've talked to put a coilover on theres. what can i do with my zero pros,is it the torsion spring, what do i have to do to get the rest of the travel out of that sus. my king cat works better, not as comfy but works better. thanks ps i don't need to hear put a 2000 dollar suspension under it unless that truly is my only option. can zbros or someone help me with valving on stock shocks and or torsion spring.

did you not like my advise? I gave you a VERY cheap solution to make the skid work well. you don't need a float upgrade kit (though they are nice if setup right), you don't even need to get new torsion springs. you just need to remount the skid and revalve the shocks.

here's the list:

-drill out lower hole in the front of the tunnel. its already there on the inside - just drill it.
-move skid to upper hole in back
-get BOTH shocks revalved (Holz is a good choice as you are in WA)
-lastly - and this isn't necessary - get a new spring stack for the front shock.

If you do ALL of this, you'll have a total of $200 into the skid. it will work GREAT.

mrquick68 i like that advice. Will the same work for an 07' M8? Is the shock re-valve the $200 cost? I'm 15min from Holtz so thats a no brainer....

mrquick

yes i got your advise thank you, just put a post up to see what others are doing as well . again thanks ( i called matt at holz 175 for revalve on both shocks with spring theres a questionaire on website they want you to fill out and send in with shocks)

Your going to need an anti stab kit with MrQ's setup or it will get REAL expensive.

For 1000.00 Kevin at K-mod will make your float skid intoa K-mod Gen II setup that works perfect, especially for turbo sleds.

Just another option for you. If your going to dump 500.00 into a bandaid fix anyways, throw a few more bucks and do it right.

MX is right - you should get an anti-stab kit when dropping the front of the kid down - good insurance. $50 from WPS i believe. I am inadvertently trying to sabotage your Cats now that i ride Doo! Subconscious i guess! Sorry.

I think the K-mod "mod" is only good for the "float" skids though, not the 07 skids.
