well guys i had a couple issues that needed to be worked out with my injectors and oil pump. havent put enough miles on yet to check my oil consumption but the leaky injector is gone!!!

the past week or so ive been buttoning up and finishing a few things and i think im completely ready to start putting some miles on

heres the gist of my sled

09 assault:

indy dan did his magic with a torquemaster bottom end and also balanced the primary

had carls cycle port cyl/case along with their ecu reflash and also put in the updated 2 ring pistons. i asked them about alternative options such as weisco but they said they seem to have good luck with the 2 ringers. also running their clutching in the primary and secondary. also ive been playing around with duane watt at hi-tech performance with his paragon secondary.

then for the top i scored some of brad's heads from power addiction racing. got 13.5 and 14.5 domes

for the breathing aspect of things the fresh 800 is getting air throw a variety of fire n ice vents(very high quality btw) along with i big air horn kit and exhaling via slp exhaust.

fuel is supplied by 4 freshly tested/cleaned injectors done up by witchhunter performace along with a new fuel filter.

fastrax supplied me with their drop n roll kit. very good directions! along with color pics. huge props on this...kurt is a class act guy. everytime i had a question he was there to help me. they also sent me an anti stap kit.

at the other end of the suspension there are some VERY pretty 9in tricked toys 8spoke black billet wheels along with a shiny mmp freedom axle.

the traction issue is takin care of by the shorty cobra 1.25in track for back home in mn and a 150in challenger extreme 2.5in for out west. running 7tooth avid drivers for the challenger.

a arms are beefed up with some very nice zbros arms.....very very durable!! recommend to anyone

random other things done. black cobe bumper. rails/spindles/front bumper powder coated black by halfbacked. FU running boards from mountain fit hoods. polish tunnel...needs another run over. 4 screen digatron..egt/egt/water temp/rpm. all new bearings...both in chaincase and on the pto side of jackshaft and driveshaft. new filters...both fuel and oil. brake fluid was flushed with new dot 4.

next yr if i dont end up getting a pro rmk the 09 will be getting some suspension attention and a sled wrap. a rear skid of some sort....whether its a mt tamer/alpha x/eazy ride. along with some front shocks....either triple rate or floats evol r. if i end up getting a pro this sled will most likely stay as is and serve as a backup or buddy sled.

got some pics....hope you enjoy!

those rear wheels look frickin sick ive never been a fan or really cared to add fancy wheels to mine but after seeing those i definitly will

Looks great man, be sure to keep us all updated on how the motor pulls with the porting. I put fox floats on my assault and would highly recommend them, If i knew that this sled would handle and ride this good with them it would have been the first mod i would have done. What kind of gearing are you running with that short lug track? Once again nice work:face-icon-small-hap

660 i will most deff keep u guys updated on how the sled pulls. i got about 60 miles on it so far but i was going through crazy amounts of oil and only getting 7700-7800 rpms so i dont think it was going like it should. i took some weight out of my mtx's and that should make a big difference. chris at carls told me that 82-83 is where i should be shooting for. so a 500-600 rpm gain should help things out. and of course after complete break in its gonna wake up as well.

i just left stock gearing with the short lug. didnt have any gears on hand and i just love the low end pull of the short gearing. granted i coulda put some taller gears in there and got some pretty decent top end but im not to concerned about that.

440...those wheels dont look bad huh?! hahah

I have a custom 09 Assault as well and its crazy on the oil consumption also! Pulls hard on 10-70's here in MN to about 8000, and out west could only get 8000 on BB 10-60's. Oh I have a timber sled rear skid on mine and a 2.5 camo ext and it rocks in the deep out west!!!

Mitchell them are FU running boards from mountainfithoods.net if I remember there 120$ very easy to install great snow evacuation tons of traction and they gave LT and I brand new airsaws to cut the the running boards for instalation. You will not be disapointed with these running boards.
