Sooo, I had an interesting morning.....

Just about finished the night shift here at the plant, and we're doing all the end of shift stuff. I dislocated my shoulder, and had to drive about 60 miles one handed out of the bush to the hospital so they could reduce it. AND, the ol' Cummins is a six speed....

The kicker? I dislocated it STRETCHING.... Time for surgury, methinks.

Anyone else have these types of issues?

I dislocated mine a year back or so. The doc told me the next time I did it I would be going under the knife.

I've got rotator cuff issues in my right shoulder. Same type of deal. I can lift as much as I can with my left, but as soon as I'm doing anything above or behind my head it falls out of it's socket... frickin rediculous...

Exactly the issues i'm having, sortastock. My right arm has been rebuilt once. Now time for the left. It's a hospital visit everytime it happens, too, which is a MAJOR pain in my azz... It's been dislocated probably in excess of 100 times, and just lately, has started to not let me reduce it on my own. I have an MRI on Thursday, with a surgury planned for this fall sometime. So, no riding for this guy.... Just means I can save my pennies for a '10 M8T I guess....

Ouch! hope for a quick recovery there, Jason! :D

If you cant ride your '10 M8T..its ok with me. Just let me ride it for you and Ill make sure that you can handle it!...when your shoulder is 100% ;)

Hey, thanks Andy.... How nice of ya! It happens all the time. It'll be some until probably Thursday, then be normal. I wouldn't be surprised if it decided to dislocate Saturday night, then be fine until probably November 7-11. Can ya tell this happens A LOT?

Hey Jason, that really sucks about the shoulder. When you were here in the summer you were having trouble with it, obviously getting worse. Is the other one holding up good since the surgery? Were you able to go quading much or did the shoulder screw up that up too? Dan

Several years ago my brother and I were snowmobling when I tore my upper bicep tendon. I was tugging on a ski trying to get unstuck and I heard and felt a “pop”. I knew something was seriously wrong. It felt like I was bleeding, but I could not feel any blood outside my arm. It bruised up nice later through. It was my left arm fortunately. I tucked my arm into my bibs and rode the six miles on the roughest dang little trail through the trees in the mountains I think. Every bump made my teeth tingle. When we got back to Bear Lodge I took a look at my arm. My bicep was not where it should be, talk about a bad feeling. So an hour drive to the hospital and, then shoulder surgery. A titanium pin and few $$$$$. Man that sucked. Anyway, hope you recover fats, shoulder injuries are a pain and you gotta take care of it. Good luck.

Hey Dan! Thanks man! I'd say the right one healed okay after the surgury. Still have issues with it, and my range of motion is seriously affected, but at least it doesn't dislocate that often anymore... I haven't been riding that much at all. Had one AWESOME trip down the river with a few buddies from Snowest here, but other than that, it's been mostly just running the dog, and yard work with it. I'll be calling you this winter for some big bore ideas, maybe. It's seriously burning oil big time, but at least it runs AWESOME! Great work Dan!

WYO 312, OUCH, man.... can't imagine that pain... Hope all healed up well for you!

When I dislocated the right one the first time, we were about 25 miles from the trucks. Had to ride out doubling with my bro, holding on to him, and trying to stop the bones from rubbing together... THAT was fun. I guess it just proves I love sledding, because at least once a day when we ride, it pops out.... Buddies just take a break and watch me try and pop it back in,. They really don't even panic anymore. Good times...
