Perhaps now the 'it isn't race proven' crap will stop? Congrats to the crew, those are brutal races to win....much less finish at all
The Iron Dog is the most brutal cross country race out there! Don't forget who won last year. Huntington and Olds on IQ Shifts!

For sure! I would say 90 percent rider. Maybe more! But they do have to stay together. I know a couple of the guys that race. I work out with them everyday! There are in great shape and have great equiptment. Also support team is a big part of it. Takes alot of dedication.

The iron dog is long and I would say harder on the driver than machine. If you were to put on 1500 miles on a 25 mile lap track, your machines would not survive well. Light conditions also mean everything. I assume that the iron dog is run with mostly headlights which saves plenty good on the machines. the pros ride the sleds to the end, what ever the failier that stops them. I think polaris has made good improvements in one year for what they started with. The two top polaris sleds were iqr's in the 500. I dont know what Cory Davidson was riding in the Soo. If polaris wants to improve the rush, stop production of the iqr. Make them race it and it will get better in a hurry.
Anxious to see what the teams will run this year in Cains Quest. Not sure if there will be any pro's, most teams run widetracks for this one.

Last year 29 teams started Iron Dog only 11 finished and quite a few of those limped in, happy just to finish!
