Hey guys, quick question. I don't know if this is stock or an add on but there's a little blue switch to the left of the speedo with a little headlight emblem on it. What is this supposed to do? I can't get it to do anything so I don't know what it's function is. If it helps, my high beam headlight also does not work, both low beams good, no high beam. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

That switch controls the optional center mounted high intensity headlight. You have low beam, then you have high beam with the bar mounted switch, and then if you want the center light to come on with the high beams, you flip this switch on or off...

Are you saying that the 2 standard headlights will not go into high beam?

so the 2 outside lights should be both high and low beams and the switch should run just the middle projector beam, like a fog light?

Are you saying the high beams need to be on for the center light to work or will it work with low beams also?

Yeah, the low beams work fine but when you push the hi beam button, both lights go out and the indicator on the dash stays out. The switch does nothing with the low or high beams selected.

Correct, the projector will only work when the hi beams are on, it will not work with the low beams.:beer;

My first guess then would be that you might have a bad hi/lo switch.... Last winter while riding my 800, I flipped from low to high on the trail out and the switch was half frozen and sticky... the headlights cut out for a half a second while switching between, I flipped the switch a few more times to free it up and everything was fine... You might be having a similar problem, it could be worn out and not going all the way to tripping the high beam wire...

Just my guess...

Ok, so after I apply my electrical expertise and get the high beams working, the projector should work.....in theory.....maybe.

Correct, figure out your standard high beams first, then you'll be able to test and see if your projector works... :beer;

yea..I put the kit on mine 2 yrs ago..is a nice light..reaches alot farther then the stock bulbs..I wired my switch under hood since it stays on anyway...
