Well, I am always extremely lucky at raffles. I don't know what it is about me, I never by a ton of tickets, I just always win.
Last year at a Minnesota Deer Hunters Association banquet, I won a Weatherby .300, and a Browning BPS 12 gauge.
Well....how do I top that?
These three! There were 200 people at the banquet, and 20 guns. I won three of them!
left to right, NEF 20 gauge single shot break action ($200); Henry 30-30 ($600) I'm not sure the significance of the 30-30, apparently its a re-make of the classic model, that's why the price tag was as it was. And, last but not least......a Mossberg Tactical Turkey! 3.5" 12 gauge! ($600 I was told, but I didn't look into it)
Hearing my named called for the 20 gauge in the general raffle (roughly 1/150) was awesome!
Then, they sold cards for the Henry. For $20, you buy a playing card, they tear it in half, you keep half and they throw the other in a bucket. Every card sold, so that was a 1/52.
Then, the bonus ticket drawing was for a choice of guns off a rack. The guy who won in front of me took a CVA .50 cal. My jaw dropped! My ticket was drawn (1/about 200) and I ran up there and grabbed the shotgun. The other choice was a .270 Winchester I believe.
Overall, I have to be the luckiest guy in Northern MN. People spend upwards of $500 on tickets there every year, I spend roughly $100 and won $1400 in guns!
