My 2012 M1100T came with a "Rexnord" marked chain. It didn`t last long. Warranty replacement from cat (also got new gears) was marked "LB S37" (LB = Link-Belt, which is owned by Rexnord). While waiting for parts I also got another chain from Evo. It said "LB S37" aswell, but was also marked "USA". These two LB S37 chains are not configured in the same way. See pictures.

The chains were almost identical in weight, not sure my digital scale is accurate enough to separate them. The chains are both 90p.

I put the Evo chain with an OSP manual adjuster in my case. So far so good.

I still have my stock chain- but blew the cat up dated $60.00 replacement in 2 rides-- they would not cover it under warranty I got it in September- put it on around X-mas and called and told them about the faliure-
Both my dealer and I got the same answer.. cat say's 30 day warranty doesn't matter that I bought it in September.. it's out of coverage..., :face-icon-small-sho

My Evo chain like your is the extra 3rd link- geared down also...
strange that weight is close but reports are that the HD from Jim @ Evo is the ticket

Weight is equal between the 2, but I have no idea what kind of hardening/tempering/quenching the materials have gone through.

You have to wonder about parts made for manufactures and the comparison to the parts makers direct market parts.
I've been wondering if yammies viper borg warner chain and sprockets are a direct replacement for the cats?

Destroyed my chain and top gear. TLC stage 3 kit and manual tensioner installed at beginning of year. Ordered hivo gear and chain. If that one goes I guess it's time for belt drive.

Says LB S37, nothing about USA, can't remember the price, ordered it from EVO.

Evo guarantees their chain is US made on their webpage , so it is strange that it is not marked like the one I got. Also strange that the link configuration is different.

2014 AC (2602-373 Chain - 90P -15 Wide) chain costs only $69.95.
Arctic Cat Store

Wonder if this is marked LB S37.

Out of an order of 30 chains we get from our supplier, half of them are stamped USA, half are not. When we pressed them on why this is, the only answer they could tell me why other than "they all come from the same place". Although we have had very good service life with these replacement chains, the real answer to drive line bulletproofing is the Hyvo gear and chain setup. The price has come down significantly - Retail price is now $399 vs the $569-$599 it used to be. The new Hyvo setup keeps reverse and is available in 21-49 (stock) and 19-50 gear ratios. Anyone with significantly more hp than stock is encouraged to upgrade. The link belt design is not as strong as the Hyvo design.

Do you have the Hyvo kits in stock? did not see them on your website and which ratio would you recommend for a SC with a 162?
