Walking through Scheels today saw a softball bat for $300!:eek: Do they hit you with it when you buy it?

Ah, they wait to ban them till after you've spent the money to buy it. :D:D

ya got that right!!

In my opinion the best piece of soft ball equipment money can buy, is one of those 5 day coolers on wheels! That way you can throw a couple cases in on MOnday, fill it up with ice on the way to the fields and just leave it in the trunk till it's all gone!!

Plus many times others will throw their beer into your cooler and then drink someone elses who doesn't have it on ice and forget about theirs! Thus you get more beer outta the deal!

I am 1/3 guys that run a softball team and we have 10 bats worth 300+ and a bunch of others over 200. A good bat really does matter. They get dents and there is all ways new designs, not too mention there is a wide range of sizes and weights of bats. Theres also the 12 dollar balls and 100$ gloves, yes you can get them cheaper but the quality reflects that!!

I have a 5 day cooler, it only lasts about 2. not a cheap one either:beer;:beer;

good equipment cost money, and yes there is a diffrence. have about a 300 bat, on sale for about 160, last years model. i use a wood bat for practice to place balls all over the field, plus its way harded to use. ballls go about 2/3 distance. good gloves are soft from the go, plus last longer. break in right though, i use a softball, put leather conditioner over glove, put ball in mit, then tie it together tight. leave for 24 hrs and its ready to use. make sure balls perfect, or the glove wont work and it garbage

i probably have owned a dozen bats myself that were over 300 and a couple that were 400. there is a new bat from miken that is 500. will i buy that no but the concept is there. lol. just like buying snowmobile stuff that best stuff cost money. and at the level that i play you have to have the best or you are going to be lagging behind and not have a chance. it is like showing up to a drag race with a 340 jag when all the other guys have turboed nytros. lol
