So whats it look like for Thanksgiving?

On the average, is there some sort of riding by Thanksgiving? If there will be riding by Thanksgiving would there need to be a base starting by now, or can ya get it that quick?


Considering riding areas such as Vail, Winterpark, RE, Buff pass, Jones pass.


I know that there are a ton of variables and such, but just curious about what you locals see as average/possible.

I sure hope ther is some snow by dec 2, doing a snowmobile wedding that day, if not i guess we'll be doing it on are dirt bikes. LOL

Two years ago on the day after Thanksgiving i needed a snorkel ! last year wasn't as much snow until mid Dec. Not looking so good here in Grand lake at the time, been warm and when it snows its wet and melts the next day. but you never know about that mother nature lady she's a crazy beeotch!!

This is the first year I won't be able to make that first ride by Halloween out of the last 4 or 5. It'll come. And hopefully when it does, it's furious and doesn't stop for 5 or 6 months!

I just hope I will heal fast when it comes. I put off surgery for a while and was hoping for a few early rides, guess not. So now I have surgery right before t-day so itll take me at least a month before I can ride prob wont be able to aggressive ride till feb. Ill have to live vicariously through your pictures. Please take lots lol.

It's funny, 'cause it doesn't take a week to get enough snow to ride on, as was shown in MT Oct 10-12. All we need is one hard 24 hour storm up high and we're golden.....tip toe golden, but we'd be riding nonetheless.
