So The Process Is Started!

Took my 2004 RX1 with 4000 km into the dealer.....for the trade and cash for the 2011 RMK 155.

Apparently they have to do a "mechanical check" on it before we can shake hands and I can take the RMK home...so waiting to exhale and a phone call away from doing the deal...

So what they check...just a once over...? The sled is in mint shape (for a RX1 - be gentle guys!) It has low miles been pampered by the previous owner (lady driven). I had the plugs, filter and oil changed at the start of the year, I have the service records from the Dealer. I put in a battery warmer. Other than a small tear in the back portion of the seat (as it slopes upward), I dont think anything is wrong with the sled. From what I have heard the RX1's are pretty bullet proof...

Not that I am nervous...ok a bit....

I did do the once over on the RMK and other than some scrapes on the front bumper from some willows....the sled looks great. I dont think I will need a riser the bars are at a comfortable height for me.

I just cannot get over how light it feels even without starting the thing up! Cant wait...!!

You're going to love the PRO!

I'll offer this advice, though....if they go over your RX1-ton with a fine toothed comb and come up with ANY issues that they try to use for negotiating a lower trade value, I'd ask to see the same report for their RMK when they took it in on trade. If the dealer is up front and honest, you should be getting a pretty well looked-over sled and should know a lot about it before leaving the dealer. If they tout their RMK as perfect or without problems, but find issues with yours, I'd throw the BS flag and start getting a little more hard-nosed with negotiations....

Its All Good To Go - 2011 RMK 155!

Took the RX1 in and they have since listed it on their website as low miles and in excellent shape!

So....pick it up up by weeks' end....cannot flippin wait. still have enough snow for a few more weeks then can head to the Skagway and Haines Summit and play well into the Spring!!

I sat on it, moved side to side, lifted the back end up...(for a minute I thought it was one of those fake inflatable tanks that had in WWII). The handlebars are perfect....download a manual.....

Not bad deal with the trade $5000 Cdn...for a sled that is light years ahead and almost 150 lbs lighter!!

Appreciate the advise Butta!
