How to produce high approval ratings for Obama

Just read an AP report: the percentage of Americans that think the country is on the right track rose to 48% in March as compared to 40% in February. In light of the unemployment rising, the debacle in foreign affairs etc, I found it unlikely. So I looked into the details of the poll.

73% of the Democrats polled thought we were on the right track
17% of Independents
10% of Republicans

That made it even more suspicious as to how those numbers could result in a 48% overall right track vote.

So digging deeper, it turns out

36% of those polled were Democrats
18% Republican
26% Independent
18% None claimed

In the 2008 election the spread between Democrats and Republicans was 6.5 percentage points not 18 and independents made up 22% of the vote not 26%.

It appears that there have been similar distortions in the various polls measuring Obama's approval ratings.

I run my own poll everyday, everyone i talk to. It comes out about 9 to 1 against, of course I don't talk to many liberals. The liberals don't say a word about their 401ks tho, they don't dare. I have lit a few up really well when they did.

First off, they need to show high approval rating.
They have to. They have to convince people that if you disagree of Obama and his policies, you are wrong. People don't like to be wrong. Herd mentality.
It's called social engineering.
Say something often enough and it becomes reality.

As for the poles, like anything else, you can get what ever you want.
All you have to do is pick a heavily democratic area and you will get high approval rating. It's all a joke.
Unfortunetly, it is a joke that works.

Well, that's politics......although at the end of Bush's terms, there was really no way they could spin the polls, his approval was really low.

This sort of thing has happened for years and years, election after election. The difference here is that this a PIVOTAL part of our countries history being written right now, so we all feel really strongly about it. So hearing that a majority of Americans agree with Obama touches a pretty sensitive nerve.

The polls are rigged 99% of the time to show favor to what the poll concerns. Look at what happend to the grade Bambi poll or what will happen with the gun control poll when its all said and done.

as seen in the other thread they (media) tried to make BO look like Jesus however that was a big FAIL. the problem we have is there are way too many sheep that buy into this Government Bull$h!t. Like all the dumb sheep that wore the sticker "I voted for change" well what was BO goint to change? did he ever say nope sure did not. Basically when i see a "hope", "change" or a "BO" sticker on a car i pass i stare at them just so i know what a retard looks like.

I love it when a car or truck comes in for repair & it has a Obama Biden sticker on it, It just tells me that the driver wants to help my shop out & pay more for the repairs needed. Biden did say it was a civic duty to pay right

Close but in truth they are lower than Bush's 100 days per the Rasmussen Polls.

Rasmussen's poll's have been the live & die by numbers for the Dem's...... But hey they will take what they can get with the others

I have a good friend there at Gallup HQ that is high up and he told me they can and have with a 100% accuracy predicted every election. He also said lately every survey is tagged with the last 3 questions that are about approval rating and those results you posted are accurate.

The dems are pushing legislation thru so fast and with zero input from anyone that they will have completed their major agenda by the end of this year.

Now they have taken up the amnesty for illgals again. They hope to have it out of commitee by next friday so they can fast track it to Obama.
