So... is the slp pipe working on the XP?

slp

ttt for ya

looking for the answer also. someone must have run it on the dyno already.

Yep, I'm curious too. But gonna wait until more snow on ground and more people have had a chance to try it out in real world conditions before I pull the trigger.

Dyno numbers are nice but if you can't really feel or see any comparable difference on the hill, why spend the money.

T/a has run it but not in the steep and deep that is where you will want to know if it will shine or not, he has run it on the rode and if i am not mistaking he said that the other xp without a pipe ran right with the one with the slp. But add a bunch of snow load and things could change in a hurry.

My guess is that the SLP pipe won't work any better up high than stock. I keep TRYING to believe in everyone that comes out with a pipe or twins for Doo's but they always let me down!

i have run it but the clutching was not right and it was jetted quite rich---both have been addressed and we'll test saturday again--so far it was low on rpms and rich and would run with our best 08 and the 09 only had 10 miles on it----:D:D

iIf you have two XP's both with good clutching, one with an slp and the other stock, I bet the difference is very little. 5 hp on a 400 pound machine just is not that much. I guess only time will tell.

Dyno claims are very close to the real gain esp when they dyno at low elevations and add a couple HP/tq ontop of things to make their gains look good.

We need a outside party to dyno pipes at high elevation (if possible) to get better results for the mountain rider.

Anyone ever get a better gain than advertise?

Is the slp pipe adding power? Are you having to change your clutching due the the pipe? Or is it just saving weight? sj

I tuat I tol you already!!!:mad::confused::eek:

Save yer cash jonnsie, just take off the 4 lbs. of insulation and have it ceramic coated. I suggest you doo the things we talked about and wait till Cooke to see how SnoJo's runs........... I think you will be impressed.:cool:
