SO I put a few miles on a XP last weekend....

Buddy said "Let me ride your 600 poo for a while" I reluctantly said "OK" since I knew I would have to ride his XP. Well, we go blowing across this meadow and something hits me on the top of my boot in the left footwell. Im thinking, Hmmmmmmm Im going to have to buy this POS if she blows??? then it clears up and Im thinking...."hope this thing can catch up to my Poo so I can trade back before it breaks" Then after a good 30 minute ride we stop and trade back. I tell him "parts are hitting me in the foot from your sled" He says "what ever" and goes over and takes a look and his secondary bolt and plastic cap is coming apart. He was baffled by these Xtra Parts flying off and told his dad which was on the same model sled to check his and when he popped his cover he was faced with the same issue....Missing parts! I know they are light but some parts you just have to have:face-icon-small-hap I sure am glad us Poo guys carry ropes to pull these XP's home.:boink:

My buddy had the same problem with his 800, but he still had the bolt and was able to throw it back together on the trail. I heard that they updated the plastic piece to an aluminum one thats suppost to stop the problem and make belts last longer. My buddy burns up a belt about every 500 miles.

Ive seen this happen to 4 of the 6 xp's that I ride with. A 137 renegade had it happen twice and a 146 summit that rides with me has had it happen 4 times. Secondary parts going everywhere!

Just got the primary weights in it and clutch sent off for a balance. Dereks guy stalled him on the weights and frankly I never did get them from him and ended up getting them from DMJ1. Am looking forward to taking it out next trip:face-icon-small-hap

Good luck!!!!!! Arent project sleds fun! If its not one thing its another. There is nothing better than having your work pay off though.

Sometime if we are in Laramie, maybe we can swap. I would like to compare a T9 to my T7 once. I would like to see if I should just keep what I have or if the extra grunt would be worth the effort.

heck yeah Outlaw.. We should hook up for a ride anyway!

Project sleds are fun but sometimes waiting on the guy with the big brown delivery truck has killed my progress. I started that project mid summer. If I had all the pieces it would of been a smooth project but than I guess that would of been a kit and would of taken all the fun outta it.:face-icon-small-hap
