having some question with the ufc some of the earlier fights not from tonight have gone one way with the judges and should have gone the other way clearly. the tito/forrest fight with the third round what was up with that?? tito hardly did anything. then to call a split decision just like the first fight, but this time in favor or forrest.. can you say tito vs forrest 3.
I thought tito looked tired. He hasn't fought for what, 2 years, he had to have ring rust...and of course, he had excuses after the fight for his black eye.
I didn't think forrest looked that great for fighting a guy that hasn't fought for a long time.

I thought Tito won the first 2 rounds, and then didn't even throw a punch in the 3rd. I'm still trying to figure out how one judge scored it 30-27 Forest, and one scored it 29-28 Tito.
I must be blind, because I thought Randy Couture got beat last week too. They need to get rid of the judges, and just let them fight till somebody gets knocked out. The UFC is getting almost as bad as boxing anymore. It seems to be about the $ instead of the pride like it used to be.

^^exactly. Go back to the old format of a tournament with no judges. Taps or KOs only.. Fight three or four fights a day and when you beat everybody in there, you're the winner.
A guy I went to highschool with was in one of the earlier bouts on saturday. I'm not sure how he did though. Jake Rosholt...180 class I think. Pretty cool to see a guy from Sandpoint make it to the big league.
He was doing well but he tapped out with an arm bar midway in the 1st.
I saw his little brother (Jared) wrestle at a tourney in Ronan, MT back in about 2001 or so. He was a big barrel chested 171 pounder. Now he's an Okie State heavyweight.
I saw Jared the same year that Tony Hook was a senior I think. Didn't he go to Oregon or something?

I have been sensing this for about a year. The raw fighting that made this sport so popular is hard to find. Seems like I've seen both Dana and Joe Rogan scratching their heads at the outcome of a fight. The sport is no longer controlled by love for the sport, its controlled by money. A sure recipe for destruction.
To my knowledge this was the first time the pre fights have been available for free prior to the main event. My guess is PPV numbers are down and they were hoping to get a few guys hooked and suck them in. I know they got my last dollar about UFC 100.

How about Koscheck pussing out with the whole eyepoke thing? If you are going to fake getting poked in the eye....at least make sure it is the right eye. What a loser
