Here it is .. the 'new' comment period for Phase 1 of the Snowy Range Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan (CMP). We have only 30 days to submit comments (in the off season, of course).

Included is the complete document, snowmobile specific data is at the end of pg2, beginning pg3, pg5 for comment details.

Remember, they must respond to each individual comment, SO YOU OPINION IS IMPORTANT. But, they will throw out duplicates (canned letters) and/or multible submissions by one individual.

PLEASE SEND YOUR COMMENTS ASAP !!!

The way I read this, it is a win for snowmobiling either way, we get a new parking lot. Green Rock would be better. . . Anyone else have anything to add before I construct my letter. Do you have to live in Wyoming to respond??

National Forest land, so anyone can comment.

I like the idea of the parking area above the switchback, but wonder how hard it would be to get up the road in bad conditions.

Question I have on the Barber Lake road Alt 2 is if we'd access it from the bottom or the top of the road? If from the bottom, it would be more of a hassle because you could drive up to Greenrock, discover it's full, have to drive back down 130 - up Barber Lake road ... could be a traffic mess at 9am.

I agree, finding out GR is full, having to turn around would be a cluster! I think expanding GR would be our best option.

It is hard enough to get to Albany on snowy days, I can't imagine having to truck up to the Lake. hmmm
