Snowy Range GPS maps?

Been looking around here with no luck. Found some older threads with map info, but nothing would open for me. Anyone have trail map layered onto topo maps?

Don't even remember what I used with my 650 last year, but I remember referencing the maps at intersections at times, wishing it was on my gps.

What's everyone else use/like?

Thanks!

I have not seen anything with the trails. Not sayin its not out there. A bunch of the trails use or cross roads that are on most base maps. If you have topo that has quite a bit of data that you can use to pin point where you are. I just leave my tracks on so if the visibility drops I can follow that back out.

I posted up the files to put the state trail map on your gps. Are those the threads you are looking at? I wish the resolution was a bit better when zooming in really close but it works for what I want it to to (find the closest trail if visibility is bad or in an emergency).

Those files should work in all newer Garmin units with the custom map feature. Shoot me a pm if you need help.

Yes tmk.... Tried yours last night, but couldn't get anything to open. Possibly a computer problem, and I'll try again at home today.

Just didn't know if anyone else has tried anything further since then.

At the least, I would love to put in waypoints of trail intersections...

What little I have used the 650, I have used base camp some. I'll have to play around with it and see what I can come up with.

if you have the attachment I made over the years (see attached zipped gpx file) and wytopo11 free wyoming topo map you should be good.
I tried to redo tmk's maps and they are better but I prefer the tracks on the topo.
Sorry the tracks are not as precise as I would like, I had to reduce them down to 500 point tracks and didn't save the originals. I have new tracks but haven't updated this.
