Snowy Range - Emergency on the 28th?

Saw quite a few emergency vehicles headed up the mtn toward Greenrock as we were headed down Sunday afternoon around 5pm or so.

Anyone know what happened?

We heard that someone broke their leg? We're at the Snowy Mtn Lodge right now need snow bad. Some wind and sun today.

They do need snow. We found the west side to be much better, off-trail.

Saw the first ambulance turn into the ski area on our way down Sunday afternoon. Assume it was a skier or someone in that area. Haven't heard that it was anything serious. Not a missing snowmobiler or anything like that.

I was told that a father and son were snowmobiling when one hit a rock and went air born. That sled hit one of them in the back with the ski. Then the one that was air born hit his head on another rock. I guess it was a mess but ended up ok. But both had to go to the hospital, probaly broken pelvise (sp) bone and back problems.
