Snowpulse Highmark and HMK Shovel issue?

I bought a HMK shovel, and when I put it in the handle holder, I noticed the end protrudes higher than the deployment zipper.
Will this possibly puncture the bag when deployed?

definatly no expert here....
but from doing some reading the bags seem to be pretty durable

thats a long handle though.....

From our experience with them, you shouldnt have any problems, as they are durable. If you have questions about it, I believe you can contact them direct and they will gladly help you out..

There shouldn't be any problem with it at all. The bags are very durable and can withstand quite a bit without puncturing. The bags won't directly hit the handle as it deploys, but rather brush the side of it, if anything. The HMK does have a rather long shaft though. Instead of buying a shovel that has such a long shaft, I recommend an extendable shaft. So it will be smaller when in storage, but can extend when you use it. This way there will be no concern at all with the airbags hitting the shaft.

The hmk shovel handle is extendable and about the same length as many of the other shovels we offer. That being said i wouldn't think it would interfere with the bag but obviously can't say for sure. It might not hurt to test fire it with the handle installed and see what happens at the house rather than on the hill when you are desperate.

Thanks for everyone's input.
I thought that this might be something that might have been overlooked in the past.
The HMK shovel is telescopic, I think it is long in the primary section because of the built in saw, My old Viole' is getting tattered and the handle is shorter, the new one is a Nice shovel, and it looks like it will stand up.
