Snowmobile insurance?

Where do you guys get your snowmobile insurance If you don't have a perfect driving record? Thanks

Did you give state farm a call? I got really good rates from them, not sure how they feel about the driving record though. I think you would have to have your car ins. there too though. What are trying to insure?

Foremost totally rocks. I totaled my sled last year and never even met with anybody. Took it to my dealer and got an estimate. Received my check 2 weeks later for way more than I thought it was worth. Best part is when I called last week to get a quote on my 09 it was less than my 06. WTF!!!!! No ???? asked.

try metlife they were way cheeper than american family was for me. left me more $ for :beer and sled parts.:D

I've got State Farm also,$270. a year for my 08 Dragon/RMK 700.That and my wifes 07 RMK 600($200 a year) are the only things we have thru State Farm

I'm 21 so I'm still under my parents' policy. I just put insurance on my "new" '05 Summit 800 HO for $300 a year. Not sure how they feel about my driving record. I've gotten a few tickets and have a '98 blazer on the policy, but my rates haven't gone up at all. They didn't ask, so I didn't tell.

The more you insure through one company, the more discounts you get through them. Somethign to keep in mind.

That being said, almost everything I insure is through state farm. My sled's $200/yr or so.

I've been getting quotes this week for 2 sleds, house and truck. So far the leader is Travelers and State farm is second but I need to make sure everything is accurate on the Travelers quote as something seems a little fishy.

Oh ya baby ... FOREMOST !!!

I insure 4 sleds with FOREMOST for under $250 a year.

Country

I recently switched to Country for my p/u and sled. And only pay 12/mo for just the sled. I think with the p/u and sled it is only 102/mo. P/u is an 04 GMC 3/4 ton and the sled is an 08 M 1000. This is the best I could find. Pretty cheap really so I dunno maybe get a quote from Country. I do know you get huge discounts for multi car through them also.

The Oregon State Snowmobile news letter has an advertisment from Country companies that they will insure any snowmobile for $154.00 per year for a sled up to 10,000.00.

I payed $68.00 through Safeco last year on my M7.

wow im getting screwed.. i have formost and pay 560 a year for my 05 900 rmk

Foremost is a credit based insurance company as are most other insurance companies these days. It also depends on your age, driving record, etc. I'm with them also, and I pay $39 for liability a year, and $145 for comp/coll a year. That's for an 08 XP. I tried Statefarm, but they wouldn't take a stand alone snowmobile policy. They wanted our auto, and home also.

State Farm! They insured my sleds and trailer and didn't raise the rates cause I have a heavy foot!

well i have great credit high 700's and have never had an accident and im 22 and i dont think i have anything on my record anymore

just one thing to add all, read your fine print and be careful some companies (some have been mentioned) rate your equipment as an SUV and if you have a claim will go against your actual driving record.... just throw a little caution in the wind.... I ended up with state farm after several inquiries into others. I have heard however that foremost has a good rep as well
