Snowmobile gear tote

I use a hockey equipment bag with wheels on one end and a retractable handle on the other end. It has enough room for all my gear including my backpack,

Fly Moto Vault Roller Bag

This thing is AWESOME! I can get a helmet, 2 pairs of boots, pants and jackets in here with room to spare. (yes I am a girl and yes I pack heavy)

Love the rollers, no more killing my shoulders. It takes abuse too. :cheer2:

You get use to using this bag, where everything has it's place, and you won't forget anything again. :thumb:

Hockey bag! My buddies given me chit about how heavy it is but it holds everything....ABS pack and all.

Those roller bags seem nice if you're in and out of a lot of hotel rooms or airports, but for me, I just went to Lowe's (or maybe it was Home Depot) and picked up one of those big Rubbermaid style hard plastic totes. Boots and hard stuff go in first, then a layer of pants and coats, helmets on top. I got one big enough that it'll hold gear for 3 or 4 people. Make sure you get one with a lid that has good latches on it, or run a tie-down across the top.

I'll second that, I picked up a hockey bag a couple years back and it was the best "gear bag" I've had to date. Most are built well, to hold a ton of heavy hockey equipment and usually have extra pockets and storage areas.

Ogio for me...sturdy..heavy duty quality...takes a licking and keeps coming back for more.

Use 7800 gear bag with separate compartments for boots, helmet, tec vest..etc. Get all my riding gear in there including my knee braces.

Then put all other gear in the Ogio Bus....plenty-o space!

Both bags have wheels and handles.

You said throw it in the back of your truck? Will it get wet? all my out door gear goes in those Cabelas dry bags and there very durable. You can get a pretty big size.If moisture is not a concern then theres are way's to go.

you guys that use bags... seems odd to me, no way I'll put just a bag in the back of my truck, I carry wood, drywall, garbage, no way I'm putting a nice bag back there, then having the fabric bring that junk into my house. Or are those bags hard bottomed & waterproof? I could sure go for a hard bottomed pull along with a dry top on it!

I'd like a better solution than the rubbermaid style tote, but so far that seems the only way I can justify doing it. Boots stay in the truck, other stuff goes in the tote. Even with a sled deck over the bed, I get a lot of dripping & gunk back there. My back seat is for friends or the dog... not for huge bags of gear.

I have a big storage box from HD that has a lid that latches closed and it carriers all the gear for me and my son.

Ogio uses a hard bottomed plastic platform they refer to as a "sled" system.

Works good for sloshing thru a winter parking lot.

But none of this stuff goes in the back of an open truck.

Goes in the back of the truck under the deck,or in the back seat. The point is to have a bag/tote that packs everything so as not to have to make a bunch of trips back and forth. Wet boots on my back seat...NOT...folded down or not.Would like something with a seperate boot compartment and pockets for beacon, goggles, etc. i use a tote now and I am always emptying the thing to find the little stuff.

ogio 9800. it was worth every penny. holds all my gear then it has seperate compartment for clothes. has a pull out mat for changing boots at the staging area. i can head out for a week of riding with my sled, backpack, and ogio bag and have everything i need.
