it opens up all new terrain. those bike are pretty amazing where they will go! The problem is that no one believes it until they spend a full day on them. I myself was guilty until i got 2 days on one in cooke city. lots of fun. Still take my sled when there is 18"+ of new snow though.

Have it on a 2014 KTM 450 sx. As soon as it snows again, ill be out again. Going to try it on the 350 and 500 too. Im pretty sure itll will be boosted by end of january.

why not use the 690 R enduro race bike?, not the huge 690 "dad bike"...

i would also suggest the PDS rear would be better for a snow bike application vs the linkage, the PDS will have a seasaw effect and ride much higher where as the linkage will squat and drag, i know the difference in dirt no snow, so i could be wrong

I've looked at the 690 and wondered, but think its just too heavy. Doesn't matter if its a link or non-link bike, with the mountain horse that all comes off to mount the skid anyway. From what I understand the close ratio trans ktm's work a little better.

Rich - yes that makes more sence, heavy loads would better fit a track bike gear ratio
