Snowmobile Film Fest

As we have been discussing in another thread, I have been working on putting a snowmobile film fest (well 2 or 3 films) together in Bend. This is somewhat in response to a film event in January by BCA (they want to shut down Tumalo Mountain to motorized use).

Anyway, we have killer films, prizes, etc. Most of all, we now have a VENUE. It will be held on Thursday March 5th at 8:30 PM at McMenamins in Bend. McMenamins will be serving during the event, so it is a 21 and over affair.

Previously, we had good response to the idea. Who can make it?

I will bring 5 or 6 people. Probably don't matter which day, the sooner u pick the more people I can get. Good job.

We are going to do this on Thursday, March 5th at McMenamins in Bend. The doors open at 8:30 PM, with film rolling at 9:00. The feature film will be Burandts Backcountry Adventures, along with a few others (maybe partials from Braaap 8, Tobe, Slednecks, etc.). If you haven't seen the new Burandt film, it is sweet. Almost all backcountry riding.

We will have some cool giveaways from Klim and others. Again, McMenamins will be serving, so 21 and over only. Rent is being charged for this event so I am not sure if we should charge a per person fee or just take donations. I am leaning towards donations if people think we can cover rent, as well as raise a little money for deserving snowmobile groups/activities.

Please contact me if you or someone you know would like to donate prizes or help sponsor this event, or if you have any ideas.

Update

Klim has donated a Tomahawk Parka for the raffle. It is sweet!

The event is now officially called - SledFilm 09
