snowmobile eating gas

my zx eats more gas then all my buddies. i rode for about 2 and a half hours and burnt up a full tank of gas while all my buddies can ride for about 4 to 5 hours. is there anything i can do to get better mileage and if so do i have to buy something and where can i get it.

Check your reeds and your jetting, then try to avoid the neverous thumb syndrom. Clutching also plays a big part.

I had the same problem with mine till i realized im twice as heavy as them
Also found crack in the fuel line wouldnt leak on the trailer but when we were playing hard running like a sieve.

check your needle set screw. Had this same problem and in was not until I took the carb fully apart, I noticed the needle jet set screw was loose and letting on needle come out of its seat. Pull top of carb and verify the set screws are tight..

Its just cause your on the gas more than your buddies I bet you are waiting for them all the time right?
