Snowmobile bottoms out?

Hi,
Just trying to figure out why my sleds bottoms out. I am pretty sure its the rear shock. I have an 04 mountain viper with a 03 polaris edge skid extended out to a 159. Just some suggetions area stronger shock versus the stock one. Thanks

you might have to upgrade the spring tension on the side springs

i also put more pressure in the rear shock to keep mine from bottoming out

great chasis and great suspension but i dont know if they are great together......that would be my first thought. I suspect your "geometry" may be off. If geometry is good, I would start with adjusting the torsion spring adjuster block and then stiffer rear torsion springs from the polaris dealer as they have 3 to choose from...standard, firm, and soft.

That should be a rebuildable shock- if it has lost pressure that could be the whole problem. If not, you could have it revalved- consult the local Poo dealer or a shock specialist...
