Snowies

Looking at the Snowies this year. Anyone have any experience with Albany Lodge or another good all inclusive in the area. Thanks

Albany Lodge is a great place to stay. The only down side is that it is a long trail ride to the "good" riding. I still stay there though.

Snowies is a fun area to ride. If I were you I'd look at staying in Cenntenial and drive up the mountain everyday. It's a lot shorter trail ride to the good riding and will save you a lot of gas in the sled. Albany has always been great but the parking lot can get pretty crowded. If you go to Cenntenial, either ride during the week or get up there early on the weekends before the locals get up there.

Albany is a good spot if you don't want to mess around with loading and unloading sleds. ( ride from your room )

Yes it is a run up the mountain for the "good" riding, but if it is snowing and blowing the riding is better down in the trees anyway. On a clear day or if u know the mountain the riding up top is spectacular. My advice would be to stay at Albany and ride out of there for a day or two and then trailer up top for a day of two. That way you can ride the whole mountain. The weather always plays into it - so just go with the conditions. If if is clear ride up top, if visibility is bad stay in the trees.

Mountain Meadows Cabins is a great place to stay, just park at green rock and Chris will pick up your things and take it up to the cabins. They have everything you need up there for a great trip! I can't say enough about how great of a place it is to stay.

Albany lodge is a great place to stay. It is really convenient to just ride right from your room. They also have gas and bar/food right at the lodge. The trail ride up isn't usually too bad. Albany is all around awesome would definitely go back

Old corral is a grate place to stay or I also know of houses in the area for rent. We would love to show you around the area and get you into the best riding the area has to offer.
