Snowies Conditions

I've ridden in June before so the lustre isn't as great as it used to be, but if they keep getting snow and the base holds up an early July trip isn't out of the question. By then, with fuel prices and all, it will be more priceless than ever.

Especially when you figure in the little fact your riding permit ends the last day of June.:D

Look at the permit issue as you would already have next years purchased. That is if they even have them printed by July 1.

I was told that the permits go from like Sept. to July, so if there is snow no permit needed after July 1st til Sept. But be careful not to ride on any dirt or grass, they will fine the crap outta ya!

They can only fine you if they can catch you!

I heard through the grapevine that they can technically fine you outside of the "season" dates. I don't remember the dates for sure, but it is right around the time that the warming huts are brought in and removed.

I'm planning on one day this weekend. Not sure which yet. What time do you planning on riding? Maybe I'll run into you. Pics are appreciated. Especially if I ride sunday.

We will prob. unload around 10.
Head over to north french creek area. Do a little water skipping, play around that area.

Well I had to work today but planning on tomorrow if any one feels the urge. Snotel is showing 60degrees at 10000ft and 6 inches of melting just today.
Ollie tell me how your ride was and how much dirt to I have to run. I think this is the last weekend.

An awesome ride to finish out an awesome season! Pic's on monday. A lot of water and mashed potatoes!

Dirt?!?!
Whats that?
We parked right where trail N turns off hi 130 at the pull off.
Headed straight north from there.
No dirt, no rocks, just snow and slush.
Anti-hero has some pics as do I.
i will try and get some loaded tomorrow.
We went up the backside of widowmaker and got some great pics.
Almost didn't make it. Snow was mostly gone on top. Had to pic our way very carfully. View was unbelievable. Not a cloud in the sky all day.
Just t-shirts and body armour.

ridng wasn't very good, cause it was 70 degrees and too much snow on the hills!!!:D

OH!
That must have been your group we saw when we were headed out.
We had the sleds loaded and were driving down 130 back towards centennial.

There was a group of sledders just before lake marie (cetennial side).
Was that you guys??

We came up the backside of widow maker and took those pics.

Did the trucks have 10high stickers in the back window, if so yeah, that was us. We made our way around to the widow maker and back to lake marie and back.
