This is what I use to watch the weather---snowies wx

What are you guys using to watch the weather and forecast out there?

Hoping to see some storms in forecast, but this looks pretty mild???

An observation from being at Snowies for last 3 days. Forecast called for 1 to 3" of new snow Friday night. Snotel at French Creek and Sand Lake only went up 2" or so from this Friday night snowfall. Let me tell you there was a sh*tload more than that in the high meadows. At least 12" of fresh and more than that in isolated places. The trails are crap getting there but tons of fresh once you get there. In summary, only use weather forecast and snotel data as estimate, not gospel.

I was just there, do not waste any time going to the snowies until we get some real snow:face-icon-small-fro

I will always click on the Forecast Discussion - usually bottom right hand side of page under Additional Forecasts and Information section. This usually paints a clearer picture with regards to timing, precipitation amounts and confidence in the models/forecast.

It looks pretty good for the next two days, never know how much snow Medicine Bow Peak will scrape out of the clouds.

I am gonna run up Friday and put some road miles on the new sled. Hopefully it's a little less rocky!

Let me know when you guys head out this way, I'll show you some of the hidden powder pockets. :face-icon-small-hap

Forecast looks pretty good for the next couple of days
I'm back to work this week and it always seems to snow when im working!
