Snowies...best snow, worst weekend!

Absolutely the best frickin riding of the season! But this is how my trip started and ended... Friday pull into Laramie, truck with 53K miles on it sticks a injector and hydros bending a rod..(no warranty) Then fortunately someone we know up in Centennial borrows us a truck to get up the mtn..only to find best snow of the year and we have rookies with us since we figured was going to be a typical spring ride. We come across the hwy over Silver Lake and we see a guy that has been trying to get out of there for 45 minutes stuck on hill short of road, I tell him I will drop down and show him a easier way out and while doing this bull dozing snow carving down 1/2 throttle I hit a rock tearing the suspension clean off the right side.. I just dont think it can get worse but gotta tell you the snow was the best! Couple pics of the weekend damage..

i seen your sled sitting on the trial i do like your paint job :D

but sorry about the suspension

Sorry to hear about all the damage.

Just curious -

a - was it very difficult getting your sled out of that downhill, deep snow situation?

b - where did you come up with another truck and trailer to haul yours home?

Saw you "riding" it out near Lilly Pond on the Hwy. So sorry! Mosty about your truck. That is the one that is going to hurt the wallet.

Good luck:)

I took the broken suspension all off the sled and shock. Another guy that dropped in there with us was able to bunjie that to his sled and pack it out for me. Then with the snow so deep I was able to WOT sidehill climb outa there with one lucky shot. I was damnnnn glad to see the top by the campground cause I at least knew I got that thing outa there.

A friend drove his truck and trailer out from Lincoln early Sunday morning and was waiting at Fosters for us at 11 a.m. Sunday to load and ride home. It sure is nice to have good friends:beer;

thats too bad big fella. if the truck got hauled home that means we need to go back and get the trailer.:D:beer;
