Snowhawk Hillclimber

Congrats go out to Justin Sampson.

At the recent RMSHA Montpelier, Idaho hillclimbs Justin opted not to ride the teams Arctic CAt M8 but instead hopped on his Snowhawk 800 and ran it in the stock 800 class.

The Results?

During qualifing He tripped the timers at the top of the hill at1 min flat.
2nd place was 10 seconds behind that. Most of the feild 20 sec. behind with some of the field not even making it over the top.

During the finals on the next day he finished 3rd.

He was later disqualified because he had only one ski. Deep in the (RMSHA)rule book somewhere a snowmobile must have 2 ski's. ( I guess some of the early snowmobiles were not really snowmobiles)

Anyway, just wanted to say CONGRATS!!!!!!

I guess it's not a matter of winning "in my opinion" but a matter of other people (manufacture's) and other's that have had thought's if the hawk could handle the hill's. As far as the rule's of 2 ski's I think It's pretty lame that he could register for the event and had no problem entering, Competing and taking third in the climb, just to have some dude pull out the rule book, But In everyone's eye's they know who the real winner is. GOOD JOB JUSTIN.

that must have been some sort of mod sled....you cant get a stock machine with only one ski! he should have ran it in the 800 mod class. i wonder if the rules say you have to have 2 skis in the mod class???? well done !!!!i bet them results sparked some interest with the big manufactures!

Adapt the hawk ski shoe to accomodate two simmons next to each other and then enter it.

How could they DQ that?

hey who care's if they kick him out! ya its bs but justin just pushed it one more step further to seeing wat da hawk can do, and that's walk on 2 skies. I thought 2 was better than one, maybe not eh. great job justin for pushing the hawk closer to flying free!
