Snowest: no donation to SAWS??

this is not a suggestion or feedback.....

was this moved to a section that gets little traffic for a reason?

I'd be surprised to see any donations being that this site is seeing less than 1/2 the traffic that it was a few months ago.

i think im in the snowest black hole, i dont even know if im really typing where is this post, and why is it there

I'm just guessing, but I don't think SAWS maintains that page in real time. And your also assuming that the donation would be given daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/bi-annually/annually/whatever. I guess it is easier to just accuse them of dishonesty.

Right.

Shame shame. Especially after charging us! I hope it's a mistake.

christopher start talking, backpeddling, or donating

does snowest care?

Guys-

In a previous thread asking what percentage of our fees the donations would be, Christopher said that was to be determined by Harris Publishing. My guess is that once HP decides what percentage it will be, then a donation will be made.

If not, I'll be adding my two cents as well! I, too, selected SAWS as my donation choice.

I'm sure that Steve, Ryan, Lane and the other Admin will chime in here soon.

They are the ones that made the commitment to help keep access open to the same people that they draw their livelihood from...

This would be in their own best interest to perpetuate the sport and just plain makes sense.

Most if not all the activist activities was done by the forum membership. SW occasionally has a little blurb about land use but hasn't ever stuck it's neck out politically or monetarily. I could care less if they donate or not.

What SW lost when it went pay cannot be measured...If they bothered to notice they would have seen all kinds of activist activities, clean-ups, fund drives, rallies, and even some fund raising to the families of some of the riders that we have lost. I've been a part of some of these and cant remember SW pitching in a dime for any of these activities....correct me if I'm wrong.

Again, if SW bothered to notice the volunteer activist operations around this forum it should have been a real feather in their cap. Some sites would die to have this kind of devotion to their site and sport. Just as well, it looks as though the other sites that are taking in the former SWesters know what they are getting.

dsp81, c'mon, don't let him get away with that kind of clarity and factual reasoning. Jump in and defend your side.......you know you wanna.

I don't have any problem with him voicing his opinion on that. That's great. Is he right? I don't know and won't know until enough time passes that it can be evaluated.

Accusing Christoper of some wrong is what I thought was over the top.

I guess I should make an official fan club logo. You guys could use it as your avatar ;)

This is a very good point, the people concerned with the donation thing should realize that issue is really just a fluffy point presented as a benefit to all of us sledders and a reason to pay, the truth is the members themselves, not the 4m is where the monetary impact will be made with organizations like SAWS and others that support and promote snowmobilers. Snowest is naturally gonna support Snowest, what they do best
