Snowboard Racks!!!!!

If you want to save some cash, just buy a atv gun rack setup and then use bungie cords to secure the board. Just my .02.

bungies can get cut by the edges of the board. If you use the gun rack idea find some old snowboard bindings and use the ratchet straps to hold your board down.

The cheeta mount is the way to go for me, it bolted right on my factory cat rack.

You must have some sharp ****ing edges on your board. I use bungies because im to damn cheap to buy a $200 rack. Or i just strap it to my backpack.

those racks are an insane rip off. the atv gun racks are pretty much identical yet cost $20-40, what is up with everything snowmobile related being a rip off?? Like that hard shell luggage thing for $200 and that metal pole with a rope on it that is like $350?

They are sharp:D I ride at the resort during the week, backcountry on the weekend.
Bungees work, but there is potential for them to break.

My CFR holder was $100. Bolts right on my factory rack. Worth every dollar.

you put luggage on your sled???

It all comes down to how you want your sled to look.

Every one needs to make money. You probably don't work for free right?

Don't know when you purchased that, or what model, however just the tunnel ski mount which only handles one pair of skis is $250.

Setting up a CFR rig to manage two pairs of skis is around $500 shipped.
Not cheap, however these aren't high production items where he is selling container loads of them either. The construction is good, as are the parts. You pay for quality.

Some of the gun rack set ups work OK, others fail pretty quick. You get what you pay for IMO. Personally I have seen the ghetto rigs damage skis/boards and the sleds they are strapped to just getting to the goods.

I got the attachement in 06. I checked at the ski shop in town where I bought it and they are $150 right now.

Made this one

For sksi but the the same idea. Snoboard ratchet straps 15 bucks, metal about 10 bucks, time (about 2 hours) with a lot of drinking in there.

Works awesome and I would put it up against one of these 200 dollar racks anyday.

I just used a mig welder and steel, 1/2 inch square tubing. The uprights have pieces of plastic cutting board to protect the skis from scratches from the steel. Snow board ratchet straps are held on with 1/4 inch bolts.

Rack is bolted to the tunnel with 1/4 inch bolts. (just make sure you don't drill through your coolers when you attach the rack)

1000 miles on 20$ RACK.. and still going strong..
