Snowbike Research: What changed for each model year?

I've been digging through Snowbike posts, and watching videos. What I'm seeing is almost every year there are some pretty important changes/modifications to kits.

Can we gather some of this info in 1 thread to help me and other noobies to snowbikes?

For example, I know Yeti used Fox Floats for a year or few. And they ran Maxtrack [I or II] tracks for some year(s)? They changed to coils in 2017?? They made ski changes in 20##, that effected [some handling characteristic]. Change from Ti bolts for certain mounting points. Etc, etc.

Maybe use a simple format like:

2016 - Yeti - Changes made to [part/component].
2017 - Yeti - Replaced/changed/modified [part/component].
2018 - .....

I'm sure its similar for Timbersled/Polaris, CMX, etc. I'm mostly interested in Yeti, Tsled, CMX kits, but we can include everything/anything that someone is familiar with. It'd even be nice if manufactures kept previous year specs and info on their websites. Similar to how snowmo manufactures keep a list of previous year sled specs.

Basically I'm lookin for a 'change log' for snowbike kits.

I am unable to edit a post??
Well, anyway, here i found a Model Archive on timbersled.com. It only goes to 2016 year, but its a start.

I was doing some CMX research and found this

2016 first year with dual front skis
2017 swapped to Yeti Ski and Spindle. Also smaller belt drive cover for more foot room
2018 Upgraded track and changed suspension arm/geometry. Wider drive belt also added.
2019 CMX spindle

Not sure which year he came out with his own ski

Subscribed to this thread! I’m in the shopping phase and this info gathering is exactly what many of us are looking for. Tons of change each year.

2015 - TSled - Found a youtube video of Allen talking about 2015 Mountain Horse changes. Seemed like quite a few changes for 2015 model, haven't broke them all down to text yet.

2016 - TSled - change to JT manuf. for chains/sprockets. (known issues-failed chains, replaced under warranty) Suspension Strut (TSS) option added, fits 2011-2015 MH kits, Convex track with tapered lugs.

2017 - TSled - change to different chain manuf.

Yeti notes - This is info largely gathered from other posts I've filtered through thus far.

Prior to the current 5.5" rail spacing, all 12.5" kits had 8.75" spacing (TSled also uses 8.75" spacing).

2016 - Float shocks and Maxtrack 1 (good in deep light powder, but soft paddles, not good in setup snow).

2017 - Automatic chain tensioner. 'Steel bolts due to Tis breaking'. 29mm (from 21mm) belt drive belt. MaxTrak 2 (beefed up tower edges but same design as 1; suppose to work a bit better in setup/hard snow). Cracked side panels..

2019 - Different ski, side panels don't crack, brakes work.

Camso notes

2018
- Bearing issues (replace every 40 hrs), NTN AS205-014. Side panels crack.

2019 - bearings UNchanged for 2019. side panels updated (warr option for broken 2018s). ski updated. brake shield added-more consistent brakes (can be added to 2018).

New ski came out late last year for MY 2020. For 2020 they shortened the tunnel (expert/Buraunt trend), updated the valving, and the new ski. I believe 2018 got the new track and 2019 got the updated wider belt.

They had originally four different lengths.two different widths. SS was 10" wide with 5.5 " rail spacing in 120 / 129" track
