Looks like he should have had a real sled to me.

Funny being that all "real" sleds went home! They were getting stuck to much! That right there took me about 2 min to dig out! Sled are really good at going in deep in a straight line. Get them in the trees and they become less than useless!

Not all of them. We were up all day. Lots of fresh where we went. In the trees. :face-icon-small-win

X2.

..as if it doesn't already get tracked out fast enough.

Boy isn't that the truth!!!!! Good thing there are lots of trees and nice little hidden areas most don't go into. Saturday looked like the Iditarod went through most of the meadows. :face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-sho

Did you guys hear about he rock slide on HWY550/Red Mountain Pass Sunday?

That area and everything south of there MUST be avoided. I-70 is MUCH safer.

;-)

God I wish we were getting that snow in the southwest. We're dying down here for anything. It hasn't snowed signifigantly down here for over a month. It doesn't even look like winter anymore in town.

Drove through Summit County today. Gotta say, around Copper Mountain and over Freemont Pass it is pretty surprisingly deep! About 4' of base just at the highway road level.

The pass is still closed.... arrrrrrrghhh. So no riding on Red or down to Silverton this weekend for me. Rocks are still raining onto the road, the pics are pretty amazing. One of my riding buddies works for the DOT up there, sounds like a huge mess...

Maybe we should head up to CB:whoo:

I rode above Silverton last weekend and set off a few slides. The recent snow and wind made for some dangerous conditions, that weren't really worth going for. We ended up drinking some beers and playing in the safe areas. Fingers crossed for some of the snow you guys up north are getting to fall down here in the San Juans!
