Snow Removal Boards which ones are the best and why?

Here are a few pics of my 09 tm8,

Only have a couple of rides so far, I think they will hold up just fine, time will tell.

One thing is for sure, no snow build up :face-icon-small-hap

I put the WRP boards on mine and don't like them. They are powdercoated flat black and have a rough texture. Ice and snow will stick to them and are a pain to keep clean. I would take stock boards back over these.

They might be for sale if I can find the money to get something different. lol

Friend just put on the Skinz Air Frames. Very nice. Strongest and most comfortable I have seen. I already have snow eliminators that work alright but I would take the Air Frames any day.

For $5 I installed plastic over each running board. Sure, it doesn't let any snow drop thru, BUT, when you feel snow piling up, one quick swipe with your foot and it is all gone.

The material I used was a $5 flat plastic roll-up kids sled. Just cut out wedges to match each board, poke a few holes in the plastic for zip ties and tie them into place.

That sound like a great idea. My concern would be that it's only a matter of time until you slip on the plastic and smash your balls or gash your shin open.
Not knockin' your idea but be careful. The tunnel rails can ruin your month fast.

No Snows for me. But if you can talk somebody else into installing any of the boards for you instead of installing them yourself you are way ahead of the game:face-icon-small-coo

What's the installation like with the airframe running boards. I love the look of these and they do look like the most effective running boards.

Are you having any issues with your toes falling down in the foot well cut outs?

Are they holding up or are they flexing too much?

Looks like FU boards will fit perfect if you decide you need a little extra.....

Some really good options here but since you really only get one chance at it after you cut the boards a person had better be sure they like what they are getting into!!

For me I really need to have snow release in the foot wells as much as the board since I find the angle of the toe kick and shallow pocket next to impossible to keep my feet in when they get built up.... I like the old M style foot loops better.... Maybe I need a smaller profile boot than my current Klim Adrenaline GTX's....
