Snow Ingestion Below QD

Has anyone come up with a low profile plug solution for the chain case drain hole below the Quick Drive? I'm getting a lot of snow build up right below the QD. I don't want to install a plate, rather hoping someone has found a simple plug that fits.

I put two layer of black gorilla tape, this stuff is very tough and sticks extremely well. Probably won't hold up to sticks or extreme abuse but it keeps the snow out very well, especially when combined with the footwel vents. Plus it's only about five bucks for a roll.

Maybe I'll give that a try. I have some in the garage. Thanks.

Wasatch recreational products in Orem makes a cover, that not only covers the hole but protects the bottom pulley. I know you said you didn't want a plate, but for $60, it's well worth it.

You guys might stop at your local Lowe's and look in the specialty nuts, bolts, screws, etc. section and look for a plug. Not sure how much room you have from the inside of the hole to the bottom side of the belt. I had to plug a hole on one of my sleds a few years back and found a plug that was a perfect fit for the hole I needed plugged. They have all kinds - rubber, cork, hard/soft. You might just find what you need.
