snow/ice collection

At the rear of the running boards where the suspension bolts to the tunnel seems to collect a lot of ice/snow. Does powder coating that cast bracket reduce buildup?

Also has anyone installed sled wrap type sheeting on the inside of the tunnel to reduce ice build up? Of course you would not install it on the heat exchangers.
