Snow/Ice build up in pegs

Wondering if anyone has any experience to comment on if filling the pegs with silicone actually works to keep the snow/ice balls from forming under the foot on pegs?

i have a buddy that puts old bike tubes over the pegs and thats seems to work good for him. never seen silicone

I also run a inner tube on my pegs zipper tied on. Peddle bike tube for small pegs and front dirt bike tube for bigger pegs Good traction Holes get poked in them right away feel just like a regular peg.

I run these pegs on my bike I originally had issues with ice building on the inner bar and they building up into a big ball I put silicone around the inner lip and now they no longer ice up worked great for me

No input on silicon or innertube, but ran the C3 oversized footpegs last year and liked them. Much better than the Fastway Adventure pegs I ran previous seasons which iced up, but those were the adventure bike version with the middle bar. They have a snowbike version without the middle bar that seems to be better.

But, these c3 are big and don't hold ice.

C3 pegs were designed to be a snowbike specific peg and build up no snow period. Most other pegs started life as a dirt peg and were adapted for snow use.

Inner tube with the spikes punched through works great. Most critical, the pivot point at the mount. It ices up and pushes your foot off the peg.

I have used the inner tube slipped over the pegs for 4 or 5 years, improves all pegs, makes even stockers very acceptable, I like the wider pegs for sure, but if you are on a limited budget, this mod is a can't miss for no money.
